Fringe - Over There, Part 1 or The William Bell Circle of Special Kids that dabble in Universe Crossing

Like many of you I love Lost and if J.J. Abrams is going to do a television series,
especially one related to anything sci-fi, I'm in (until I'm..well out).
I never got into Alias and some episodes I saw were okay but it
just didn't do much for me, the same way Buffy the Vampire Slayer didn't do much for me either.
[I do have a feeling I might be revisiting both series in some capacity]

We are now in season 2 of Fringe which I enjoy and think is a very good & entertaining show.
It certainly is a show I try to watch live or as quickly as possible which to me
indicates a show that's up there in quality. It has problems like most shows
that relate to inconsistency as far as the quality of some of the stories
but it's the characters that keep you (or me, anyways) watching.
I can usually forgive plot and story with television more so than film but it can
happen there as well (See: Back to the Future III which had a plot, just not
an overly exciting one..II is close here), if I like/love the characters.
It always helps if the show has multiple characters to like or
the main one is really cool (like a Dexter - Michael C. Hall finally won an emmy for it
with the Trinity killer himself, John Lithgow).

Fringe's best character by far is Walter Bishop, followed by his "son"
Peter Bishop and Agent Dunham comes out around 3rd.
Of course as far as who'd I'd date first...pretty sure Anna Torv
comes out ahead of Joshua Jackson (but barely, hey it is Pacey and Charlie)
and John Noble.

**Spoilers Ahead** I'm guessing if you're reading this, you probably
have watched this episode..but if not, opt out of reading the rest as I'll
be discussing some secretive info.

Warned and here we go....

"There are now two of you here and there are now two of me"
- Doctor Emmett Brown talking to Marty McFly in reference to 1955, the 2nd visit

While Fringe may not have time jumped, it did universe jump (as it has before)
with 2 Walters, 2 Annas, 2 of almost everyone minus Peter & his mother.
I can't wait for next week's Part 2 Season Finale as we also have Lost's
2 last episodes as well - TV Packed with excitement!

Fringe can't reveal all its secrets along the way and needs a little
filler as it mixes its singular stories with its overall stories,
so episodes like Over There is definitely more exciting and has more
riding on it as we have been waiting for it all season since
last season's finale when Anna crossed over to talk to William "Spock" Bell.

Now the thing is, we know Peter & how he feels about Olivia and
even though he's incredibly angry at the Walter we know, that's the
only dad he knows. I guess many people are almost opposite in
a sense of what their alternative universe personas are or might be..
We never knew Earth's Peter and he may have grown up to be
non rogue but maybe less compassionate. Now we don't know
if Alternate Walter or Mr. Secretary has grown into this
villain due to losing his son in such a crazy way but his Alt Wife
seems mostly okay.

It feels like Peter will realize how much he cares for those he knows
and that his real father has lost it but knowing dramas, he'll come to his
senses at the zero hour in this machine. He'll see the Walter & Olivia
he knows being threatened by maybe his real dad (just my guess, I haven't
reached screener status nor would they send anyone a screener of a finale, right?
If you want to send me any screeners to review though, I'm not against it -
Contact me: nyactorm11@gmail.com - I'll review anything out there:! Back to Fringe..).

This first part was exciting as Walter & William's living special kids gathered
to help Oliva & Walter cross over using just their minds without any special area
or equipment needed. We didn't get our usual dosage of Thomas Newton (the same
actor is friends with Kevin Pollak and can be found in his webseries, Vamped Out)
but I bet we'll see him in the finale somewhere along with more watchers.

Now does this mean that Walter & William didn't experiment on
kids in the Alt-verse or we just don't know about it yet. Also is there
an Alt-Verse William Bell and if so, is he alive? There must be right
and is there a Nina Sharp and something like Massive Dynamics on that side?
We know there is an FBI with a fringe division that's maybe a little more
advanced in technology but definitely not as focused as the team we know.

Lots of questions still remain.. as we're used to on J.J. Abrams shows...

-Peter reunites with his real mom which is touching and means a lot for them both.

-We don't really get the meeting between Alt-Walter and Peter (who technically is Alt-Peter
but since there's only 1, he has to stay known as Peter!) that we wanted...it's slight at the end
of last week's episode and then we get a glimpse of it on video but how did they have it recorded
from the hotel room?! Did I miss something?

-Olivia & Walter basically seem unaffected from the time jump and shouldn't Walter
of brought some of those capsules along to help everyone handle the universe jump..
Was there not enough time and do those not help when mind crossing? Does
Walter only get to come because he was in the center of their Mind circle, he must
have some special abilities since he has time jumped before (besides being a genius)?

-Is this universe destroying machine intended on destroying the universe we know
based on it being hostile according to Alt-Walter or does it have some other purpose?
Is Alt-Walter just insane or is he so upset from the universe we know stealing his only son,
that he'd destroy it and tell the Alt-Fringe division that they are dangerous?

-Is William Bell going to just melt like the senator did in X-Men 2 when he was put in the
machine to make him a mutant? Is that why his eyes are all messed up?

-Lastly, how is Walter able to go this long and stay this focused...his son is very important to him
but he's doing it without any snacks..not even pudding pops!

What did you all think of this week's Fringe? Will the finale be amazing or are you skeptical?
