Nurse Jackie - Monkey Bits - Harvey Fierstein Guests
I'm gonna go get myself some beer, vicodin,and some monkey bits for that person
that it paints nyc nurses in a bad light (just like Italian Americans thought
Edie Falco's other show painted Italian Americans in a bad light and six feet under, which
strangely enough painted the dead in a good light). I say.. it's a television
show and just like the legal proceedings on most shows such as
Law & Order (which got cancelled today, one season short of breaking Gunsmoke's
record and now Anthony Anderson will have to show off his new svelte form
in a different arena) are not exactly accurate of how things really are,
they are entertaining which is exactly how I feel about Nurse Jackie.
I suggest watching the show from the beginning and as you may
guess, the show is focused on Edie Falco who may look different
than Carmella did (slightly), she still can be quite as tough on people..
but unlike Carmella, she gets things done (or tries a lot harder to get them done).
Basically, you need to like Edie Falco, to like the show and I do.
The show is a half hour show that almost feels like an hour show
which doesn't mean it drags, but it has a serio-comic tone that
goes back and forth between the two.
Not a lot happened on this episode as far as advancing characters go
except that Dr. O'Hara broke up with her newswoman girlfriend
and Eddie tries to make Jackie jealous. It'll be interesting to see
how long this secret of Jackie's stays..a secret. There is no way
it's not going to come out but when it does, it'll completely destroy
Jackie's life & might turn the tone of the show less comic (unless comedy
just happens all around Jackie, which it can). Looks like Eddie
will be back in the hospital and maybe things will go back to the
way they were but as long as Eddie knows Jackie is married,
he'll never be happy. I also think he truly likes Kevin (which he wasn't expecting) and
since he doesn't have any friends, he may not want to lose this one.
I felt like they backed off using Zoe a little bit but she
is usually the funniest part of the show & as she
finds out things related to Jackie which I think will
also happen...I think it'll be very funny to watch her
& Jackie's relationship with Zoe holding in secrets
like she has to pee really badly.
Harvey Fierstein dropped by and did good work
with something very emotional but his story
took a huge backseat to all the other stuff.
Jackie has definitely gotten very sloppy as
[monkey] bits of her secrets are getting found out
with too many lies to have to keep track of,
there may be one huge explosion coming up!
What did everyone else think and if Eddie comes back,
that means Dr. Cooper might be among those who might
hear from Eddie, the whole truth about Jackie?
